C’est l’annonce faite par Stephan Reil, directeur génral du développement chez Audi, il n’y aura pas de Q5 RS ou de Q7 RS. Les projets sont définitivement mis au placard et sur ce terrain, Audi n’ira pas chercher les X5, X6 et futurs X3 et X4 M de BMW… sauf si le futur X4 M rencontre bien évidemmemt un grand succès sur le marché, ce qui n’est tout de même pas encore gagné !
Stephan Reil d’ajouter que cela est tout à fait envisageable techniquement mais avec les versions actuelles, les haut de gamme resteront ce qu’ils sont, à savoir le Q7 V12 TDI de 500 ch et pour le SUV intermédiaire de la firme d’Ingolstadt, il semble qu’une version SQ5 soit à l’étude avec une motorisation hybride ( celle du Cayenne ?? ) mais en attendant, c’est le Q5 V6 3.2 L de 270 ch en finition S-Line qui fait figure de version sportive Haute de gamme et c’est déjà pas mal, non !!
