Oui vous avez bien lu, MG viendrait en WRC !
Cela doit rappeler aux amateurs le bon temps du Groupe B, les fameuses et très performantes MG Metro 6R4 à moteur V6 3.0 L.
Le constructeur sino-britannique envisagerait donc de venir dès 2015 en WRC avec une voiture “mondiale” et au gabarit adapté aux standards du rallye mondial. Ainsi selon des informations venues de Chine mais aussi de Grande Bretagne, de Hongrie et d’Ukraine (pays où la marque MG est distribuée), MG travaillerait sérieusement au développement d’une MG3 WRC.
Aucune information pour l’instant au sujet de la MG3 mais il semble que le pilote ukrainien Oleksii Tamrazov (qui courait sur Ford Fiesta RS WRC et Fiesta RS S2000 en WRC et IRC) soit sur les rangs, au moins pour participer au développement et à la mise au point de la voiture qui devrait faire ses premières apparitions durant la prochaine saison du rallye mondial.
